However, there is one thing that can bring Dropbox to its knees and leave you unable to access your files. And you can use Dropbox as a file backup service, synching the data stored on your laptop with your Dropbox account in the cloud, constantly maintaining a current backup copy of all of your files. You can collaborate with co-workers or clients on projects using Dropbox, editing and working on files together. There is a Sync Now button available in Cloud Preferences, and you can also find that in the quick action menu of the Toolbar.Dropbox is a highly useful cloud storage and collaboration service for a small business, allowing you to share your files with almost anyone. You can optionally configure how frequently MacDive will automatically sync (and it will always sync when you first start it), and whether or not you want to sync your Photos. Once authenticated, MacDive will initialise itself with the cloud and then sync its data.Īs with enabling syncing on iOS, that's all you need to do. ICloud will use your macOS preferences and generally already be logged in, so there is no separate login required. Follow the instructions and then make sure you click "Go to MacDive" once you're logged in. If you've chosen to use Dropbox then you will be directed to a browser to login and authenticate. Once you've chosen from the dropbown, check Enable cloud sync.
